How many gallons of water total did you bring to the playa?

Approximate number of gallons per person per day? (# of gals divided by # people divided by # of nights on the playa)

Did you buy water at the store? Size of containers purchased?

Did you fill your own containers? What size? Where did you fill your containers: home or elsewhere?

How much clean water did you have leftover? Did you pour it out or haul it home?

Did you haul grey water off the playa? How many gallons?

Three 2.5 gallon suitcases brought home, 2.5 gallons of own container used for dust control at departure from BRC	Can't be trusted with yucky gross end of week grey water : (	We also had two cases of thirty-six 16 oz bottles for drinking. Also one third of the suitcase water was used for drinking and often over ice that supplimented the drinking supply.

Water to the Playa

Lisa and Pavan Brought 15 gallons, all store bought. Took 5 gallons home. spread 1/2 gallon fresh unused water onto playa. Used 1 gallon per person per day - drinking and showers. 4 1/2 gallons for washing/showeres. 5 1/2 gallons for drinking. We offered to add to shared water - but it wasn't needed. I also offered to haul grey water and Jan said she didn't need help. :)

Brought 14 gallons. 5 gallons filled at home. Bought the rest. Took home 2.5 gallons. 3.5-4 gallons to kithchn common usage (drinking and dishwashing). No water scattered. No grey water hauled.

So I used 12.5 gallons. Just under 2 gallons per day including showers and shared water.

hmm, your math on gallons

hmm, your math on gallons per person per day should be 21 divided by 2 persons = 10.5 gallons divided by number of nights on the playa. You arrived on Monday, stayed till the following Monday: that's 7 nights. So that's 1.5 gallons per person per day. Let me know if I've got this wrong!

And did you haul your water from home? Fill your own containers on the way to the playa? Or buy containers of water somewhere?

brought 19.5 gallons

about 2.5 gals per day

?? buy size??

2 x 6 gal, 1 x 6.5 gal, 1 x 1 gal containers, all filled at home

6 galls scattered on the playa, 1 gal hauled home for drinking on the way

no grey water hauled home (sorry, should have offered to take some)
