The fan hasn't arrived yet, but we have enough parts to test the pump. A piece of the screen has been stapled into a little basket which might help to keep any cruddies out of the pump (should have made it taller). The ground wire from the cigarrette lighter is connected to the ground of the pump (black wire). The positive 12V wire from the cigarette lighter is connected to the fuse, which is connected to the pushbutton switch, which is connected to the positive lead of the pump (red wire). The yellow things are wire nuts that make the connections. Wiring is in a plastic bag in case water splashes up.
